Lets talk about Oral hygiene!! I think a lot of us forget about the importance of a healthy mouth! Of course we want to stay cavity free but it goes past that! If our mouth isn't clean and bacteria isn't balanced it effects our health, especially our gut!! Your oral health can give early warning of problems elsewhere in your body so pay close attention and make sure you're setting aside time for your oral hygiene routine just like you do for your skincare.
Try and transition to an all natural routine. There are lots of harmful chemicals in your toothpaste that you didn't know will disrupt your hormones and put nasty toxins into your body like Sodium lauryl sulfate, Diethanolamine (DEA), and lots of yucky synthetic preservatives. Nobody wants that!! Luckily for you I have a list of my favorite products to take care of your mouth the all natural way!!
STEP 1: Tongue scraping. A lot of people aren't familiar with this important step in your routine. Avoid buying a plastic tongue scraper. Its always good to go with metal or copper. Keeps bacteria away and is better for the environment! Here are some of the benefits of tongue scraping:

- Helps eliminate undigested food particles from the tongue
- Enhances the sense of taste
- Promotes overall oral & digestive health
Gently stimulates the internal organs
Make sure to wash your scraper really well after each use and store it in a dry space!
Step 2: Floss. I’m sure you hear it from the dentist all the time…. but they are right! Don't forget to floss before you brush! My favorite floss company is coco floss! STEP 3: Brush and mouthwash. Like i said before its time to make the switch over to natural. Theres lots of DIY recipes out there for natural toothpaste/mouthwash but if you're lazy like me here are some good alternative all natural options that leave your mouth minty fresh!

Ujjayi charcoal whitening tooth powder (I like to add this to my toothpaste a couple times a week)
Last quick tip that I love to do a couple times a week to help balance the bacteria in my mouth and keep my teeth white is oil pulling!! Just put a spoon full of coconut oil into your mouth and swish it around for at least 2 minutes. Super easy, natural and effective!!
